... while on the Welsh course.

Mae hen wlad fy nhadau yn annwyl i mi
Gwlad beirdd a chantorion enwogion o fri
Ei gwrol ryfelwr, gwlad garwyr tra mad
Tros ryddid collasant eu gwaed.

Gwlad gwlad pleidiol wyf i'm gwlad,
Tra môr yn fur i'r bur hoff bau
O bydded i'r hen iaith barhau

I still can't sing it of by heart but at least I'm not struggling with the pronunciations quite as much now.

Will I get to hear it this weekend?

And trying to read that has now enlightened me to what dyslexia is really like

I doubt I'll be able to remember all of the tune without the others helping me... plus my singing is NOT the best!

Try Googling it... you should be able to find a Welsh choir (or few) singing it!

Welsh is totally phonetic... as long as you can remember how the Welsh alphabet goes that is! ;p

Are we allowed to make up our own meanings? First line: My hen laid four... somthings... First line of second verse: Glad glad palladial wife I'm glad!

I bet that's close. Yes?? =P

lmao! Thanks for the chuckle!

Ummm... yeah... not really!

It's actually the National Anthem, which is why we sang it every day... we were supposed to be able to sing it "off-book" by the end of the week but I think that's a little optimistic for the beginners!
