About a month ago we got the first produce from the garden... 2 radishes... they were very tasty & I was looking forward to more... this was not to be as the rest bolted & there was very little in the way of roots... here are the 2 that were good:

Today was much more successful with me harvesting some beets, swiss chard, snap peas and a chili pepper:

Yes swiss chard & beets are related... yes we ate the beet tops too.

Here's some general shots of the garden:

Chilies and the mysterious "veggies" I'm guessing brassica of some sort:

Ok so it's getting late so I'll post the rest of the pictures tomorrow, hopefully.

It's either broccoli or cauliflower. Turnips don't tend to have the leaves that close in the center.

My guess is that it's cauliflower because the broccoli I've planted has slightly darker leaves and the leaves tend not to curl inwards... but that could just be the picture.

hmmm... could be cabbage but I can't see the center well enough to tell.

Are you following a square foot gardening plan?

I've looked down the centre but not seen anything that would indicate one way or another!

For the beets/chard/carrots I tried to seed at the distance they told me to thin out to... I hate thinning out! :D

The other bed I had zucchini & summer squash plants with plenty of room as I know they can take over... the hail destroyed them so I planted whatever I could find that looked decent out of what home depot had left. The unknown squash plant & the summer squash I left with plenty of room, the pepper plants I planted at the end that gets the most sun & that left the spot for the mystery veggies at the end.

The two chili plants have flowered & are producing peppers but the bell pepper plant is yet to flower... not sure we'll get much from that one.
