Here's the plot plan so you can see my nice big potential garden :)


And here's what the front should look like with all the extra stone they added to it & the workshop off to the side of the garage (the line I added to the roof of the workshop was a change the builder suggested to make the place look more balanced. I've not heard back to whether that change has gone through yet):

That is so exciting to have a brand new house with nice space! Congratulations!! I am going to be putting a small garden in this year to get my feet wet then go from there. Are you putting in veg and/or flowers?

In the UK Garden = yard not just veggie garden... which we normally call the veg patch! :D

Of course, I should know this! I watch relocation,relocation and they always talk about the "garden" meaning the yard. Now, you will have both! ;)

I find it an odd distinction you weird Canadians make :D... garden centres/shows, gardening TV programs deal with the whole lot, not just growing veggies... they aren't called yard centres/shows or yard work programs LOL!!

To me the words "yard work" conjure up thoughts of building stuff... fences, decks, sheds, patios, you name it... gardening is more about the plants & growing stuff.
